  • How does the free trial work?
    The free trial is available to all new users (that is, if you've never had a FluentU account before). All you have to do is choose the plan you'd like to try and register as you normally would. We do require a payment method to sign up, but rest assured we won't charge you if you cancel at least one day before your trial ends. The subscription will continue unless you unsubscribe before the end of your trial. You can downgrade or deactivate at least one day before a subscription period ePopular
  • FluentU Payment Policy
    Do I have to sign a long-term contract? No, you don't have to sign a long-term contract. You'll be charged monthly or yearly, depending on your preference and you can cancel or change plans anytime. If you cancel, you'll only be charged for the current billing period. You won't be charged again after that. Can I change plans at any time? Yes, definitely. You will receive a receipt that gives you prorated credit for any unused time and begins billing on the new plan. Can I cFew readers
  • What does "limited" features for the free plan mean?
    You can access the free plan by downgrading from your paid subscription.  You can use the free plan to save your progress and maintain access to your account, even if you no longer wish to make payments. You can upgrade again to a paid account any time, and pick up right where you left off.  The free plan does include limited access to our content. We include some videos lessons (including quizzes) in this plan, but it is a limited number. You are free to study and learn from themFew readers
  • Do you have a family or group plan?
    We do have a group account designed for classroom settings. You must buy a minimum of ten licenses. For pricing, see our pricing page. Click the "School or Group" tab. The more students you add, the lower the cost per individual license. This Academic Plus account is great for use by homeschool classes, companies looking for a learning solution for their employees, as well as in formal classroom settings.   • How do I disable automatic renewal of my subscription?
    For Regular accounts:  Regular FluentU subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. You are notified each time there is a charge to your credit card. If you would like it to not automatically renew, then you should downgrade to Free at least one day before the renewal date. You would continue to have access until the end of the current billing period. You can downgrade your account to Free by going to your account settings (click on "More" "Settings" on thFew readers
  • How do I subscribe for only one month?
    With our plans, you get billed automatically on a monthly basis. If you only want to subscribe for one month, just upgrade your account to the desired plan. Once your upgrade goes into effect, you can downgrade back to the free plan. The downgrade will take effect at the end of the billing cycle. Thus, you will only pay and stay upgraded for that month.Few readers
  • Paypal as a Payment Option
    If you'd like to pay with PayPal, just sign up by going to our pricing page. You will see a PayPal payment option along with the others. If you have any trouble, please contact us at support@fluentu.com. We'll do our best to help!Few readers
  • Can I study more than one language with one account?
    One subscription gives you access to all languages (so you can learn more than one language at once).  You can change your language settings in More>SettingsLanguage You can go back and forth as much as you like. FluentU will keep track of your progress for each language.Few readers
  • Why do I have to log into the app if I haven't used it for a while?
    This is actually by design. We need to have users log in at least once a month so that we can check whether they are on a paid plan. This is because the app allows offline access as well as online access.  We do it so we can keep track of our users and give them the best service. Thanks for your patience!Few readers
  • How do I change or update my payment method?
    You can change or update your payment method by first clicking on "More" on the left panel then "Settings": Then, click on Subscription and 'Edit Payment Method'. Finally, on the last screen, input your payment method, and click save.Few readers
  • Account types
    On FluentU, there are three account types: Regular, Teacher, and Student. A Regular Account is for individual users who are using FluentU on their own. A Teacher Account is for teachers who are using FluentU to teach their class. Each teacher account can create and manage student accounts. A teacher account has in-depth tracking and assessment tools that can be used with the student accounts. A Student Account is for students who are using FluentU with a teacher.   • How do I make the upgrade window go away?
    If the blue upgrade box appears, it's because you're trying to use premium content. It's not possible to hide the upgrade window for premium content.  To gain access to this content, just upgrade to a paid plan via Settings SubscriptionFew readers
  • Is there a student discount?
    Right now we don't offer a student discount. But we'll consider this in any future special offers we decide to provide.Few readers
  • Can I suspend my account?
    It is not possible to suspend your account. However, you can downgrade to our Free plan for as long as you need, and your progress will be saved for you.  Once you upgrade, you can pick up right where you left off.Few readers
  • How do I change my email address, username or profile pic?
    All you have to do is: Click on "More" and then "Settings" on the left side panel. This will bring you to "General Settings", where you can change your email address, username and profile pic.  As shown here:Few readers

  • Your payment options are not convenient for me. Do you have any other option?
    We accept all major credit cards and PayPal as payment options at this time.  Sorry for any inconvenience. We will consider adding more payment types in the future.Few readers
  • Unable to upgrade due to "problem while processing payment"
    If you are trying to upgrade, but getting the message "Problem while processing your payment method",  first, please check that your payment details are correct. If you're sure that your payment details are correct, then most likely your bank or credit card company is blocking the transaction.  Sometimes, banks or credit card companies block the transaction because we are a Hong Kong based company. You should be able to unblock the transaction by giving them a quick call.Few readers
  • How is the billing cycle determined?
    The billing month is counted from the date of subscription.  So, if you subscribed on September 8th, then your next billing date would be October 8th. And so on...Few readers
