How do I use the "Import Video" feature?
FluentU's "Import Video" feature allows users to bring their preferred video content into the platform for a personalized learning experience.
Here's everything you need to know about using this feature effectively.
Imported videos are only visible to the user who uploaded them. Other users cannot view or access these videos or their captions.
Each user can import only one video per day, across all languages.
Maximum length per video: 15 minutes.

If you want to assign a particular FluentU video to one of your classes, follow these steps:
In the browse section, click on a video that you want to assign.
On the next page, click the "Add to Assignments" link just under the video title.
In the small pop-up screen, select the correct class from the pull-down menu, and select a due date. Click "OK."
You've now assigned that video to your class.

You can add new words to your flashcards in a few easy steps.
Click on a video
Scroll down to the "vocab" tab, as pictured here:
Choose the words you want to add, then click "Add to", like this:

Spaced Repetition Software (SRS) helps you remember things easily by letting you review something just as you're about to forget it.
FluentU has an SRS feature known as "Ready for Review."
On your homepage, you will periodically see a list of words that are "Ready for Review."
FluentU is using its SRS algorithm to show you words at the perfect time for you to review them.

Yes, you can import your own vocab!
Users can import vocab lists with the "New Words" button:
We provide this button in the "My Vocab" flashcard set and personal flashcard sets.
If importing Chinese words, be sure to use Chinese characters. They system will not recognize Pinyin.

You can add flashcards to an existing list or create a new list with specific words by following the steps below:
First, touch the word you want to add to a flashcard list
Then, touch "Add to" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. If you've never added a flashcard this way before, the screen will provide a prompt.
