How do I use the "Import Video" feature?

FluentU's "Import Video" feature allows users to bring their preferred video content into the platform for a personalized learning experience.

Here's everything you need to know about using this feature effectively.

Imported videos are only visible to the user who uploaded them. Other users cannot view or access these videos or their captions.
Each user can import only one video per day, across all languages.
Maximum length per video: 15 minutes.
The import only works when subtitles are available on the original YouTube videos.

Eligibility:
The video import feature is available exclusively to paid users.

How to Import Videos

Navigate to the My Library section on your FluentU account. Click on the "Import Video" button then paste the YouTube URL of the video that you would like to import.

Upload your video by clicking the "Import YouTune video" button. (ensure it meets the 15-minute length limit). See below for reference:


Wait for the video to be processed.

While processing:
The "Video" and "Quiz" buttons will be disabled.
The "Download" and "In-between" options will be hidden.

Once processing is complete, your video will be available for use.
