How do I set up the Chinese keyboard on my iOS device?

Open the ‘Settings’ application and tap ‘General.’

Tap ‘Keyboard’ and then ‘Keyboards.’

Tap ‘Add New Keyboard.’

Tap Chinese (Simplified) or Chinese (Traditional) depending on the type of Chinese you want to type in. (Simplified Chinese characters are used in mainland China, Singapore, and Malaysia. Traditional Chinese characters are used in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao.)

To add the pinyin keyboard, tap ‘Pinyin - QWERTY.’ If you want to use your finger to draw the characters on the screen, you can also choose ‘Handwriting.’ Tap ‘Done.’

When typing, tap or tap and hold the globe icon to switch between keyboards.
